Who we are

The Cape Biotech Trust is a Biotechnology Innovation Centre (BIC) funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) with the objective to promote and develop a biotechnology industry in the Western Cape through project investments and capacity development.

Cape Biotech forms part of a national network of organizations that collaborate to ensure the growth and development of the biotechnology industry in South Africa by implementing the national biotechnology strategy and managing the allocated funding.
